ABOUT SANAR

S.A. Native Animal Rescue (SANAR) Inc. was established and registered as an Incorporated Association in South Australia (SA) in 2022 by a group of Wildlife Carers who were looking for a professional organisation that put the care of wildlife and it’s carers first, yet also provide an objective and active management structure.

Being focused on the care of our wildlife as well as offering education and assistance to the public, we have been granted charity status as a non-for-profit charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.

Our ObJectives:

Education – To create awareness of the native wildlife in SA and educate about their value, place and importance in the ecosystem

Conservation – To promote the protection and the preservation of native wildlife, their habitats and their cohorts

Care – Giving relief to the suffering of native wildlife by rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing when possible.

Our Mission:

SANAR’s mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release sick, injured, or orhpaned native animals in South Australia.

How Can We Achieve This:

We rescue, care for and procure treatment for native wildlife that is sick, injured, or orphaned with the aim of releasing them back to their natural habitat.

We provide Training for our volunteers in all aspects of rehabilitation of native wildlife.

We provide Education and Awareness about our unique native wildlife and their diverse natural habitat.

We give advice to the Community on how to solve wildlife problems where possible.

We publish a newsletter and distribute it to our members and sponsors as well as make it available to the public.
