The Australian Firefighters Calendar is the perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas or any other occasion to show someone how much you care or, better still, spoil yourself! (29cm x 24cm (11.42” x 9.45”)).

These Car Rescue Kit include items and a booklet that are essential to allow you to rescue sick, injured or orphaned native wildlife from anywhere, in any situation (roads or hiking). Their ease of size and weight ensure that they can be easily stored in a car boot, or under a car seat. The Booklet contains information about the different native wildlife species and how to assist them, if it is safe to do so.

What We Do

Rescuing Wildlife

Our members answer phone calls to rescue displaced, injured, orphaned, and sick native wildlife. Sometimes having to travel far to rescue the animals. While sometimes the call ends with advice given.

Caring For Wildlife

Our members care for the injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife from their own homes.

Releasing Wildlife

Our Volunteers Take time out of their busy schedule to release the Animals in Care when they are ready to be released. We also bring back together Families where it is possible which is a reason why we like to know the exact location where an animal was found.

Training

Trainers will do 1-1 or small group training, providing new carers the opportunity with hands on experience and knowledge that larger workshops can’t provide.

All our trainers have years of hands-on experience with their chosen species.

The new carers will then be buddied up and mentored by their Area Educational Supervisor or have the choice to stay in touch with the trainer.

Our new carer mentoring will also provide the experience required to apply for a Wildlife Carer Permit for the chosen species.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

We are a non-profit volunteer organization that rescue care and release (where possible) injured, sick, orphaned and displaced native wildlife in South Australia (SA)

Our Featured Rescues

This little brushtail was found on the ground in a driveway. The wonderful member of the public rang straight away. The brushie was kept warm until one of our SANAR members picked it up.
If you see a baby brushtail or a baby ringtail without its mum, pick it up, keep it warm and give us a call or take to your local vet.
At least one of our carers has managed to get her ducks in a row before spring officially starts – not an easy feat!
Spring will be in full swing before long so keep an eye out for babies and if in doubt contact us for advice 😀
Bonus point for anyone that can spot and id the undercover agent in the photo 🥸
